A Baking Party
Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of participating in a baking master class at the Australian Women’s Weekly Test Kitchens, run by the very talented Pamela Clark (AWW test kitchen director).
I was joined by my wonderful mother (and super talented baker) Artemis, my Le Petit Party partner in crime, Anna, and my dear friend (and dessert taster connoisseur), Caterina.
What an experience! Have you ever gathered a bunch of women in the kitchen for a cook off? It all starts off fairly civilised - one is beating the eggs, one is measuring the flour out… a few glasses of champagne later... and what do you know – the flour is flying across the room in a flour fight and the eggs aren’t far behind! OK, so we weren’t that badly behaved, we did have an awful lot of fun though.
So if you are thinking about what you should do for your next birthday, or a fun way to celebrate your child’s birthday, why not organise a baking party? It is great fun for any age and will keep the kids entertained for hours. You could go sweet or savoury, the food options are endless.
Here are some pics from our little baking party…
